[main cultivation measures and adaptability]
1. Choose flat terrain, convenient drainage and irrigation, no flooding in rainy season, deep soil layer, loose soil, rich in organic matter and ph6 5-7.8. Planting in sandy loam soil with water and fertilizer conservation. Avoid planting with sweet potato and other crops or woody plants with purple stripe feather root rot as the previous field.
2. Seedling transplanting, direct seeding is not recommended. Sowing in spring can be started in early March in the South and appropriately delayed in the North (or increase the wording of heat preservation); Autumn sowing mostly takes place in the north. The seedlings are kept warm in the greenhouse for winter and transplanted in the next spring.
3. In the first year of harvesting, the adoptive mother stem should be kept at an appropriate time, and excessive harvesting should not be allowed. When harvesting green asparagus, the thickness of compound soil is required to be 12 cm (or more), and quick acting fertilizer should be applied 5-7 days before leaving the mother stem, so as to make the stem neat and strong.
4. Suggestions on planting density: collect green asparagus with row spacing of 1.5m and plant spacing of 26-30cm, and plant about 1500-1800 plants per mu; Harvest white asparagus with row spacing of 1.7-1.8m and plant spacing of 26-30cm, and plant about 1200-1300 plants per mu.
